Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0336-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of Mountain View. The project is limited to the installation of a trash capture boom with two anchor bolts in the concrete bank. The trash boom will be a floatation structure used to collect floatable debris and trash. The boom will be composed of approximately 5-foot lengths of 6-inch diameter floatable foam sections wrapped in polyvinyl-coated fabric. The fabric wrap will also form a 12-inch skirt below the foam sections, providing sufficient draft to prevent trash from passing beneath the boom. The skirt will be ballasted with a galvanized steel chain that will connect to anchor plates at each end to provide bottom tension.
