Document Description
The District proposes to construct a 4-acre tidal marsh on a portion of the District's 72-acre property. The Project is being proposed to fulfill the District's restoration obligations from a 1988 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit associated with maintenance of the Larkspur Ferry Terminal. The Project includes excavation and grading of approximately 12.16 acres of land to construct approximately 4 acres of land to elevations suitable for tidal inundation. The Project also includes relocating portions of the existing western and northern berms to the east and south sides of the new marsh, breaching the northern berm adjacent to the drainage channel, and restoring native marsh vegetation.
