The proposed project will maintain channel capacity by removing vegetation and debris from the channel areas throughout Jackson Creek, North Fork, South Fork, as well as, the Court Street drainage and Sutter Street drainage. Debris and dead vegetation will be removed by hand. Vegetation removal would be limited to grasses, forbs, trees, and shrubs less than 4 inches diameter at breast height (DBH). Trees greater than 4 inches DBH will be retained but may be limbed as high was 72 inches above ground. Riparian vegetation that is not obstructed flow will be retained. Sediment removal will occur where excessive buildup has occurred near culverts, bridges, storm drain outlets, stream channels and banks and will be removed by hand.
