CDFW has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2018-0556-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Mendocino County Dept of Transportation, represented by Kent Standley.
The project is limited to two encroachments. At milepost 12.34, and undersized and failing culvert will be replaced with a 36" high density polyethylene (HDPE) culvert with a rock headwall at the inlet and energy dissipating rock at the outlet. At milepost 12.47, and undersized and failing culvert will be replaced with a 36" HDPE culvert with a rock headwall at the inlet and energy dissipating rock at the outlet. In addition, a head cut upstream of the culvert at mile post 12.47 will be laid back and stabilized using rock slope protection and in-stream rock weirs.
The project replaces and stabilizes existing culverts at the same locations and provides the same purpose and capacity. There would be no significant adverse impact on endangered, rare or threatened species or their habitat pursuant to section 15065.
