Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2018-0157-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Brian Mettler. The project is limited to construction of a natural stone/rock revetment along an eroding bank on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Geotextile fabric will be placed on the eroding slope and a revetment beginning with natural stone approx 3 ft in diameter will be placed along the base of the revetment. Smaller stone will be placed on top angling back at approx a 1:1 slope with rock of approx one-one half (1.5) ft in diameter at the top. The overall height of the revetment will vary along it course to create as natural an appearance as possible. The final constructed revetment will employ approx 110 cy of natural rock. 4-6, clean washed gravel will be used behind the revetment as a backfill. At least 12 arctic willow plantings will be planted at semi-random locations within the revetment to help and secure the soil of the slope, within the footprint of the proposed project will also be retained to the greatest degree possible. The rock and gravel fill will be placed on the slope from the lake side of the property via a barge with mounted excavator. A turbidity curtain will be in place on the lake side of the project area for the duration of construction activities. All staging for construction will be on the floating barge due to the steep slope on the property.
