The project will include construction and operation of an advanced water treatment facility, conveyance pipelines, injection wells, monitoring wells, and backwash piping. The AWT facility will treat secondary effluent from the existing San Luis Rey Water Reclamation Facility for indirect potable reuse. The advanced treated water will be conveyed to injection wells, where it will replenish the Mission Subbasin for later extraction and use as potable water.
