Document Description
River Garden Farms Company (RGF) is conducting a one-year 2018 Groundwater Substitution Water Transfer Program. RGF will pump an additional 1,150 acre-feet of groundwater from July through September 2018 to substitute for reduced deliveries of surface water. With 13 percent streamflow depletion, up to 1,000.5 acre-feet of surface water foregone by RGF will be made available to Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Zone 7 during July through September 2018. The Department of Water Resources will convey the transfer water to Zone 7 between July 1 and September 30, 2018.

RGF filed a Petition for Temporary Change with the State Water Resources Control Board on March 1, 2018, pursuant to Water Code 1725 et seq. The SWRCB approved the transfer on May 7, 2018. In accordance with Water Code 1729, temporary changes filed in accordance with Water Code, 1725, et seq. (Temporary Changes) are exempt from the requirements of the CEQA. (Pub. Resources Code, § 2100; see also Cal. Code Regs., tit. 14 § 15282, subd. (u).)
