Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0153-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the San Lorenzo Valley Water District. During storms, the Fall creek fish ladder can fill with debris, boulders, cobbles, sediment, and silt (collectedly revered to as debris) which prevent adequate jump heights to maintain fish passage through the fish ladder. The purpose of this streambed alteration agreement is to remove debris within, upstream, and below the fish ladder with the goal of allowing steelhead passage during most flow regimes expected in the stream by reducing pool turbulence, ensuring sufficient flow over weir structures, and reducing jump height at the weir structures.
