- Plumas Mutual Water Company is conducting a one-year 2018 Groundwater Substitution Water Transfer Program. PMWC will pump additional 5,998 acre-feet of groundwater from PMWC-owned wells from June through Sep 2018 to substitute for reduced deliveries of surface water. With 13% streamflow depletion, up to 5,218.26 acre-ft of surface water foregone by PMWC will be made available to Kern County Water Agency and Dudley Ridge Water District during July through Sep 2018. The DWR will store the transfer water in Lake Oroville and convey the transfer water to KCWA and DRWD between July 1 and Sep 30, 2018.

- PMWC filed a Petition for Temporary Change with the SWRCB on April 4, 2018, pursuant to water code 1725 et seq. The SWRCB approved the transfer on June 8, 2018. In accordance with Water code 1729, temporary changes filed in accordance with water code 1725, et seq. (Temporary changes) are exempt from the requirements of the CEQA.
