This is an internal, jurisdictional basin boundary modification under the SGMA that will promote sustainable groundwater management. The modification continues existing uses and does not result in a change in management of groundwater resources or a physical change in the groundwater basin. The modification is exempt by section 15307 as an action taken by a regulatory agency as authorized by SGMA to assure the maintenance, restoration, or enhancement of a natural resource where the regulatory process involves procedures for the protection of the environment; and also exempt from section 15308 as an action taken by a regulatory agency as authorized by state law to assure the maintenance, restoration, enhancement, or protection of the environment where the regulatory process involves procedures for protection of the environment.
