Document Description
The proposed project would remove and replace three existing air handler units (AHU) at the UC San Diego Price Center West building. AHU 3-3 is on the roof of building 3, and AHU's 4-1 and 4-2 are located in mechanical space in building 4. Scope of work would also include necessary plumbing and electrical work. The new AHU's would include Variable Frequency Drives (CFD's) and new air duct smoke detector devices. A temporary AHU would be installed for areas affected during construction which includes retail, food service areas and office space. The existing AHU's are being replaced because they are reaching the end of their useful life.
