Document Description
One Barrett LLC proposes to renovate the existing buildings on the property for future use. Upon competition, the property would be made available for lease. Initially, the site is intended to be leased to Bombardier Transportation, who would use the project site for final assembly land inspection of newly built rail cars for delivery to Bay Area Rapid Transit in Hayward. Following this initial use, the site could be leased to the City of Richmond (City) for use as a corporation yard to replace the City's existing City Corporation Yard located at 6 13th Street and the Parks and Landscaping Facility located at 3201 Leona Avenue. Other potential uses of the property include manufacturing, warehousing, processing, industrial and ancillary office, retail, or commercial use, or other uses permitted under the site's Live-Work zoning designation.
