Document Description
This project was approved for funding with California Transportation Commission's adoption of the 2016 Revised Aeronautics Acquisition and Development Program. The existing apron, taxiway and tie-down areas are currently made up of reveled and failing asphalt and have been noted as deficient by the State Aeronautics Inspector.
There are two apron areas, one at the north and one at the south end of the runway, immediately adjacent to the runway that need an overlay of asphalt for rehabilitation. The taxiway and tie-down are deteriorating and the asphalt shows signs of heavy cracking and structural failure. The proposed method of repair is to pulverize the existing asphalt, leave it in place, grade it smooth and overlay with an appropiate depth of new asphalt.
The repair project will stay within the existing footprint of the airport and no new ground disturbance will occur. Dust control will be by means of watering. The nearest residence is approximately 800 feet.
