The project extends the existing Butterfield Blvd. bicycle/pedestrian path 1.2 miles, plants 481 trees, and constructs a sidewalk along Railroad Avenue leading to the City's Community Garden. The project will provide the community with better access to City facilities and amenities and improve the quality of the environment.

The proposed path and tress will not impact a mapped environmental resource of critcal concern, will not damage a scenic resource within a State-designated scenic highway, will not be located on or near a hazardous waste site, and will not cause a substantial adverse change in the significane of a historical resource. The project is not expected to result in cumulative impacts or significant effects to the environment.
