This project targets fourth graders and demonstrates to them the need for habitat restoration and environmental stewardship. With hands-on restoration activities students will learn about watershed connections by exploring an upland site and a riparian site along the Sweetwater River.

The project is also categorically exempt under section 15333 because it involves removal of invasive species and revegetation of disturbed areas that do not exceed 5 acres in size.
