Document Description
A 60-inch diamter corrugated steel culvert crossing pipe under Woodhams Carne Road was damaged during the storm, causing a structural failure of the pipe, and subsequently, water to traverse under the roadway outside of the pipe itself. The proposed project includes emergency repairs already completed, and additional work to construct a headwall, replace the corrugated metal pipe, perform minor roadway patch and install a dissipater at the outlet. These construction activities will require preliminary engineering services, and the construction contract, construction inspection, and construction testing.

Reasons for Exemption
After reviewing the project and its setting, the Environmental Coordinator for the County of Tuolumne has determined that the project is exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15269 and Section 15301 of the State CEQA Guidelines. Emergency repair and restoration projects are statutorily exempt, as defined in Section 15269 and the repair of Woodhams Carne Road, an existing roadway facility, is categorially exempt as defines in Section 15301.
