Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit. In January 2017, Pyramid Building & Engineering started excavation of a concrete containment area. In March, the company laid 282 feet of 24-36 inch piping to allow for the option of blending Well 22 and Well 23 water. The 1,100-square-foot containment area was completed the same month. In April 2017, Pyramid Building & Engineering in installed 70 feet of 24-inch diameter piping to connect well 23 to the Roger Teagarden Ion Exchange Plant. A 500 pound per day rack mounted chlorine generation system was installed. Two new 9,400 gallon hypochlorite tanks were connected to the chlorine generation system and the rest of the system, through 2-inch, 100-foot long pipe. A 7-foot by 28-foot long, 1,000-cubic foot per second surge tank was installed and connected to the new piping. A 500-gallon day tank, 5-foot tall by 6-foot long, was also installed to hold sodium hypochlorite solution. The day tank was connected to the sodium hypochlorite generator and transfer pipe by 2-4 inch diameter piping, 15-25 feet long. Electrical equipment, control equipment, and transfer pumps for the chlorination were also installed in April. The project will provide for the operation of these facilities.
