Reasons for Exemption
A CEQA Notice of Exemption for this project was filed by the Modoc County Planning Department on April 13, 2017. The Lead Agency determined the project is exempt due to a Ministerial Exemption. Additionally, the project is exempt because it consists of the installation of a small structure and a minor alteration to land in the installation of a geothermal well pad and drilling operations, and basic data collection. The project will not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource, and there is no possibility that it will have a significant effect on the environment.
