Document Description
Resurface the Mattole Road in Humboldt Redwoods State Park to restore the deteriorated road surface and improve traffic safety. Work will grind road joints for conformance, clean loose aggregate from the road surface, apply tack-oil, apply 2" of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), and compact. Only existing paved surfaces will be resurfaced and no excavation will occur. Grinding depth will not exceed the depth of the existing asphalt (2 1/2" max depth). The average width of the road within the project area is 20' although width varies from 15' to 22' along the road.
