Document Description
DFD staff will remove dirt from the v-ditches adjacent to the lower roadways along both the primary and secondary side of the BAPP intake channel. DFD will first remove loose dirt from the hillside adjacent to the v-ditch along both the primary and secondary sides of the BAPP intake channel using an excavator or backhoe. Sediment in the v-ditch will be removed using a wheel mounted skid steer with a loader bucket and/or front end loader. All removed dirt will be placed in a dump truck and transported to the upper bone yard, near the helicopter pad, where it will be stockpiled.

The State Water Project provides significant and important services to many Californians. This project is exempt because it involves routine maintenance activities. This project will not result in impacts to special status species or habitat. Because this activity can be implemented without any significant environmental impacts, the Categorical Exemption Class 1 will be used for CEQA compliance.
