Document Description
The Vallecitos Water District proposes to install a new solids force main from the Meadowlark Water Reclamation Facility solids pump station located int eh vicinity of Corintia Street in Carlsbad and would connect to an existing sewer line north of the facility. The proposed project, which proposes to locate the solids main connection along Melrose Drive, is slightly more than one mile in length. The new proposed solids force main would begin at the Meadowlark Water Reclamation Facility solids pump station and would continue for approx. 554 linear feet before reaching Corintia Street, where it would be constructed for approx. 1,123 linear feet before heading northbound on Melrose Drive for approx. 5,717 linear feet. The proposed force main would extend a total length of 7,394 linear feet before ultimately connecting to an existing 16 inch ductile iron pipe sewer iron pipe sewer line. The proposed force main ranges from 6 to 8 inches in diameter, and would consist of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) construction.
