Document Description
The purpose of this project is to design and scale up a novel tracking technology from the lab into a field to reduce solar energy's levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) to 40-50% lower than the LCOEs of currently available solar energy systems with trackers.
The nature of the project is to install and test a 300 kW tracking technology for research purposes. The success of this research will result in not only ratepayer benefit of lower cost of renewable energy generation but also grid benefit of improved reliability of renewable energy supply.
