The Coastal Conservancy granted funds to the City of Half Moon Bay to enable it to plan and design a replacement for the pedestrian bridge over Pilarcitos Creek. The current bridge has collapsed and is closed to the public. Without this bridge, the California Coastal Trial is impassable through Half Moon Bay State Beach. Conservancy funds will be used to prepare designs consisting of final plans and specifications, environmental analysis pursuant to CEQA, and permit applications so the bridge can be replaced and re-opened to the public.
