Document Description
The project is the adoption and implementation of the 2015-2023 Housing Element Update, consistent with State law. The purpose of the project is to identify the City's existing and projected housing needs and to establish goals, policies, and programs to guide City officials in daily decision-making in addressing these needs. The Housing Element Update is only a policy document, and no direct construction would occur as a result of approving this updated Housing Element. The City is projected to have a need for 297 additional housing units through 2023. The Housing Element identifies sites that have existing zoning and development standards to accommodate the City's anticipated future housing needs.
