Project will replace an array of three failing culvert tide gates with a new concrete reinforced tide gate structure. The new tide gate structure will improve access upstream and downstream for aquatic organisms, improve fish passage, and reduce floodwater inundation. The project activities include excavation and fortification of an inlet and outlet channel to the new tide gate structure, construction of temporary vehicle access, and construction of a temporary bypass channel. The bypass channel will remain in place throughout the duration of the construction phase of this project. The total project disturbance will be less than 1 acre.
