First Update to the Climate Change Scoping Plan

Note: FED The First Update to the Climate Change Scoping Plan builds upon the initial Scoping Plan with new strategies and recommendations. The Update defines the State's climate change priorities for the next 5 years and sets the groundwork to reach the State's long term greenhouse gas emission goals set forth in Executive Orders 5-3-05 and B 16 2012. The Update highlights CA's progress towards meeting near-term 2020 GHGE reduction goals defined in the initial Scoping Plan. The Update also evaluates how to align the State's GHG reduction strategies with other State policy priorities, such as water, waste, natural resources, energy, transportation, & land use. The Update identifies opportunities to leverage existing & new funds to further drive GHGE reductions through strategic planning & targeted low carbon investments.
