Document Description
The proposed project is the 6th Annual San Diego Big Bay Whale Festival, which took place at the Port Pavillion on the Broadway Pier on Saturday, January 25, 2014. The purpose of the event was to promote the District's eco-maritime heritage and promote the revitalization of the Embarcadero. The District provided event sponsorship and financial assistance for the event, a free community festival that offered a wide variety of interactive and hands on displays, including a walk-through gray whale, live sea creatures, free face painting, a kids art mural coloring project, a giant inflated obstacle course, a trackless train, and two gaint bounce houses. Additionally, live music and a youth dance group provided entertainment during the festival.
