Project is removal of non-native eucalyptus trees on the coastal terrace of Gaviota State Park. Non-native eucalyptus trees are encroaching upon sensitive habitat for native species including critical habitat for the endangered Gaviota tarplant. The project area covers approximately 10 acres and is characterized by dense stands of eucalyptus trees over approximately 3 acres with scattered outlier trees over the remaining acreage.
