Document Description
Using only State funds the Caltrans will replace the bridge deck of the Walters Road Overcrossing over only the northbound lanes of I-5, approximately 1 mile south of the City of Yreka is Siskiyou County. The portion of the bridge over the northbound lanes has already been removed due to an accident to the structure. The replaced portion of the deck, will be replaced in-kind. Staging will occur on the paved areas of the interstate Walters Road, unpaved portions of the interstate median, and the unpaved area between the northbound lanes and eastside right of way fence. The purpose of the project is to reconstruct the east span of the overcrossing and restore traffic to both Walters Road and I-5.
