The project designs will follow the Alameda County Conservation Partnership's wildlife-friendly pond specifications for improving habitat for the California red-legged frog (CRLF). Sediment will be removed using an excavator to scoop and move the material. The excavator will place the sediment into a dumptruck to be haulted to the spoil placements site. All removed sediment will be placed in an appropriate location so it will not re-enter the pond or waterways, as identified by a qualified biologist.
