Document Description
Modification of an existing CUP (Resolution 124-04; approved August 12, 2004) to allow for the reclamation or remediation of soils contaminated with nonhazardous materials in conjunction with the expansion of an existing nonhazardous oil production and/or oily waste disposal facility. The original CUP approval provided land use approval for the conversion of an existing oil well into a commercial injection well for the disposal of nonhazardous oil production and/or oily waste materials. On-site development at the time consisted of one oil well and three idle oil wells, in addition to various associated tanks and piping. Implementation entailed the conversion of an existing oil well into a commercial injection well which would operate as a Class II disposal facility under a permit issued by the Department of Conservation/Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR). Only non hazardous Class II fluids approved by DOGGR would be injected into the well.
