Document Description
The project consists of wetland and upland habitat restoration in two areas totaling 4.69 acres. The proposed restoration of southern coastal salt marsh and upland transitional habitat for local wildlife combined with maintenance and monitoring will enhance and protect the habitat for local wildlife, including the diverse upland and wetland bird species commonly found along the San Dieguito River. The project will include removal of exotic plant species such as giant reed, pampas grass, hottentot fig and black mustard which will help protect adjacent areas of high quality salt marsh from infestation.
