Document Description
The project is an update of the Housing Element of the City of Pacific Grove General Plan. The Housing Element is one of the seven General Plan Elements mandated by the State of CA, as required in Government Code Sections 65580 to 65589.8. The Housing Element is a comprehensive policy document that describes the City's housing needs and provides goals, policies, and programs to facilitate the development, improvement, and preservation of housing for all economic segments of the community. State law requires that the Housing Element consist of "identification and analysis of existing and projected housing needs and a statement of goals, policies, quantified objectives, and scheduled programs for the preservation, improvement and development of housing."
