Document Description
CDFG is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 (SAA #1600-2010-0158-R6) of the Fish and Game Code to the project Permittee, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. The proposed project is to conduct a study to obtain foundation design information, geotechnical investigations and simulated foundation load tests for possible solar development on Owens Lake. The study will include three Foundation Study Areas, designated as GS-1, GS-2 and GS-3, each 10 acres in size. In addition, a new roadway will be constructed to allow access to form T35-1 to GS-1 and FS-3. The access road will be 20' wide with a 30' right-of-way on either side, for a distance of up to two miles. The access road, along with all disturbed and/or excavated areas will be restored in-kind upon completion of testing. All equipment and testing equipment including but not limited to piles/footings and assorted weights will be removed from the Study Areas.
