- Document Description
- The project will fund the replacement of petroleum fuel in an existing, above-ground tank with biodiesel fuel and associated infrastructure, including a new meter and pump for fueling, and new pipelines connecting the tank to the meter. This will allow tanker trucks using the existing fueling facility to load both petroleum fuel and biodiesel for local distribution, rather than seek biodiesel at a separate and more distant location. The project benefits the public by reducing greenhouse gas emission associated with truck travel otherwise necessary to acquire and distribute biodiesel, promoting the use of alternative and renewable fuels, and reducing reliance on petroleum fuels.

- The proposed project will take place at an existing fueling station, replacing the fuel in existing tanks, and involving no or negligible expansion of the existing use as a petroleum fueling station. The project will also require the construction of a small meter and pump station onsite for biodiesel fueling, and pipelines to connect the existing tank with the meter. This project will comply with existing environmental permits and will not have a significant impact on the environment.
