Document Description
The proposed hydrogen fueling facility will be located at an existing Shell gasoline and diesel fuel station located at 2816 West Capitol Ave. The improvements to the existing retail fuel station will consist of a new concrete foundation for a liquid hydrogen storage tank and modular hydrogen compression system and new hydrogen dispensing island with canopy. Zero additional square feet of the existing lot will be developed under the proposed project as all Linde equipment is considered movable equipment with no real "structures" open to public except for the dispenser. The total footprint of each individual piece of Hydrogen fueling equipment adds up to approximately 700 square feet and the footprint of the hydrogen dispenser island will be about 48 square feet. The entire lot is currently fully developed and the project would only require minor foundation work to support Linde equipment. The hydrogen fuel dispenser will have an approximate maximum refueling capacity to fuel four to six vehicles per hour; however, the typical loading is expected to be five to ten events per day in the first year of operation increasing to about twenty to thirty fueling events per day in the third year of operation. The station will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
