Grossmont Union High School District is proposing to construct and operate a new performing arts complex and reconfigure and modernize various school facilities in Santana High School. The performing arts center will be funded by local bond measures to serve the existing student population. An existing building on-site would be modernized using a Career Technical Education (CTE) grant and local bond funds. The various components of the project would not result in increased student capacity.
These categorical exemptions apply to minor additions to existing schools within existing school grounds where the addition does not increase original student capacity by more than 25 percent or ten classrooms, whichever is less.
