Document Description
The objective of PR 1147 is to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) from gas and liquid fuel fired combustion equipment. The proposed rule will regulate equipment that is not specifically addressed in SCAQMD Regulation XI - Source Specific Standards. PR 1147 applies to combustion equipment includingm but not limited to: ovens, dryers, dehydrators, heaters, kilns, calciners, furnaces, heated pots, cookers, roasters, fryers, closed and open heated tanks and evaporators, distillation units degassing units, incinerators, and soil remediation units. PR 1147 requires new, modified, relocated and in-use combustion equipment subject to the proposed rule to comply with equipment specific NOx emmision limits.
