DTSC is considering concurrence of the Proposed Plan for the Interim Cleanup of Site 17 that would allow for the continued operation of the phytopumping/remediation system at the site and the installation of a new containment and treatment barrier to treat contaminated groundwater. Contaminants of concern at the site are volatile compounds (VOCs) and fuel-related compounds. Beale Air Force Base will conduct these actions in accordance with applicable criteria specified in the federal Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) at Site 17 located at Beale Air Force Base (AFB), Marysville, CA.
