Document Description
The Evergreen Pulp Mill has requested a Conditional Use Permit for an environmental improvement project pursuant to an Order for Abatement issued by the North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District Hearing Board. The project involves the installation of an electrostatic precipitator (ESP) on the existing lime kiln which will replace the currently operating venturi scrubber as an emission control device. A Coastal Development Permit is required for development within the Coastal Zone. A Special Permit is required to allow the ESP to exceed the height limit for the zone. The ESP will be approximately 70 feet tall.
