Document Description
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is proposing to repair an approximately 650-foot segment of the dirt access road that was damaged by flooding during the 2004-2005 rainy season resulting in extensive erosion. The Rainbow Creek Road Repairs have been assigned Disaster number 1585 by the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Metropolitan is proposing to place rock material and dirt road base over the rock material to fill voids and provide drivable surface for vehicular access. The dirt road provides access for patrol, routine inspection and maintenance of existing underground pipelines that carry public water supplies.

The repairs will serve to maintain a service essential to public health and welfare by providing access for maintenance and repair to Metropolitan pipelines that carry public water supplies.
