Document Description
The University has requested a Minor Master Plan revision to establish an 87,000 square foot shade shelter structure of solar photovoltaic panels in Parking Lot V located at the southeast corner of the campus. The system will generate roughly 25% of peak average weekday campus energy use.

Reasons for Exemption
The site currently houses 350 parking stalls and is being enlarged to accommodate and additional 104 parking stalls. It is consistent with the general university land use plan and policies and is specifically a delegated approval action which qualified it as ministerial under the Trustees process for land use approvals.
In addition, this minor revision meets the general rule for a "common sense exemption" in that "it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have significant effect on the environment."
