Document Description
Re-wire the electrical system at historic House of Happy Walls, at Jack London State Historic Park. Work will supply sufficient breaker boxes, switchplates, and surface mounted wiring to bring the facility up to current electrical building code standards. All work and specific wiring tasks will be reviewed by the District Historian with the electrician on site before installation. This includes review of the selection, placement and attachments that may be required for either new or existing molding where it is required to encase the surface mounted wiring. Pull chains from existing lighting will be retained, and new switchplates to comply with ADA standards. No new circuits will be required since no additional current will be demanded. Testing for lead based paint or asbestos will be conducted prior to disturbance of potential hazardous areas.
