This project is a proposal to amend the Santa Cruz County Code Chapters 16.20, the Grading Ordinance, and 16.30, the Riparian and Wetlands Protection Ordinance. The amendment will allow certain activities that are necessary for the operation, repair, and maintenance of the Pajaro River and Salsipuedes Creek levees and the maintenance of flood capacity within the levees to be exempt from permit requirements in these ordinances. Only work that is conducted or directed by the County Department of Public Works and is located outside the Coastal Zone is proposed to be exempted.
