Document Description
The proposed project involves removal of non-native, invasive Giant Reed (Arundo donax) using tarping and cut and paint methods. Removal sites are located on property owned by Granite Construction Co. and Brown Forman Co. along the mainstem Russian River. All but one site using cut and paint method will be removed using the tarping method. Sites greater than 10 feet x 10 feet shall be revegetated with native species using plant material collected from the Russian River basin. Sites are located along the Russian River in the Ukiah area, Mendocino County. The Department of Fish and Game is issuing a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number 1600-2004-0388-3 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1602.
