Document Description
Lincoln Avenue Water Company is installing an ion exchange treatment system to address the perchlorate in groundwater from two production wells (Wells #3 and #5). The ion exchange system will be incorporated into the existing treatment train at LAWC, consisting of GAC, chlorination and blending with FMWD water as described in the Technical Report submitted to DHS. Ion exchange treatment will consist of a USFilter Model HP1220-DS Hi Flow System. The system has two 12 foot diameter ion exchange vessels with a nominal treatment capacity of 2,000 gpm. All piping, valves and gauges are included within the skid mounted system. USFilter states that spent resin from similar facilities has been classified as nonhazardous materials.
