The Valley Boulevard Neighborhood Sustainability Plan would guide the improvement and future development of the Valley Boulevard corridor and surrounding neighborhoods via a specific plan over a 20-year planning period. The primary goal of the Sustainability Plan is to maintain and enhance the quality of life of the residents of San Gabriel, in particular the Valley Boulevard Neighborhood. A key approach taken by this proposed Sustainability Plan is the integration of sustainable practices within the Plan area. "Sustainability" is an approach that integrates environmental, economic, and social goals and actions to minimize negative impacts on the environment, while protecting the health and well-being of people.
