The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) proposes to enter into an agreement with the North Kern Water Storage District (North Kern) for a demonstration groundwater banking/exchange program. North Kern, acting as the Lead Agency, proposes to implement the 2003 Pilot Water Banking Program. Under the agreement with North Kern acting as the Lead Agency, proposes to implement the 2003 and 2004 in a storage account of 60,000 acre-feet (AF)within the groundwater basin underlying NOrth Kern.
