Document Description
The following is required to mitigate for the impacts of the non-permitting activities. To mitigate for the impacts to the stream and California red-legged frogs (CRLF) habitat, the operator shall submit to the Department a revegetation plan for 1000 linear feet of the unnamed tributary to Arroyo del Valle. Additionally, the operator shall work with the vineyard manager to determine if vineyard irrigation rates can be reduced or captured to attempt to return seasonal flows to this stream. The subsurface or nuisance flows of the vineyard irrigation is contributing additional water to the stream, allowing year round flow and creating a habitat more suitable to the bullfrog. These irrigation practices, if they can be modified, will allow the stream to dry up and create more suitable habitat for CRLF. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0987 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
