Document Description
Repair and repaint all rear window slashes and lower northeast theater door in the north wing of Casa Grande at Hearst San Simeon State Historic Monument. Exterior frames will be stripped, primed with rust-inhibiting primer, and finished with original Munsell paint type and color. Interior ashes will be sanded and repainted to match original colors. All hardware will be cleaned, repaired/adjusted, and replaced; brass screening will be repaired or replaced in kind. Metal-clad theater door will be restored, salvaging the maximum historic fabric possible, and repainted to match original finish. All work will be done in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The windows and door will be photographed before, during, and after completion of the project.
